Professionalism and Ethics

There have been times when a patient has a DNR and living will and a physician will want to suspend DNR during a procedure.

When a patient has a surgical procedure a DNR order is no longer in effect during the procedure time. All DNR status is d/ced at that time until the patient is recieved out of the OR after the procedure is completed. I believe this rule can be found in AORN.
