Governance and Organizational Structure
This area deals with the development and analysis of the organizational structure and with delineating responsibility, authority, and accountability at all levels of the organization. Functions include the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the governance process.

For individuals who have not had an opportunity to be involved in a state-level or the national process associated with the Malcom Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, I would strongly recommend giving it some thought for both personal and organizational development. It provides a phenomenal model for running your business and as I study for the FACHE exam, I find that the process algns itself very well with the principles coming up in the CD tutorials. How does the governing board structure of a non-profit HCO differ from that of a profit HCO? If so, does the difference impact the board membership and responsibility? Please explain.
