What dollar amount defines a capital expenditure? The slide presentation suggested capital expenditures were those items that cost at least $500, but that could be increased to $5000 if needed. What is the mechanism for defining a capital expenditure?

I am looking for a definition of "accountability center" that is used in the book on page 430 in refernece to building operating budgets.

Despite a long presentation, I enjoyed th ewelth of information oresented in this part of Finance focus. I only have one question regarding one slides that mentioned "'A' rated hospitals". What are A rated hospitals? Is that based on the bond rating or other criteria used to detrmine the rating? Thanks Nizar Wehbi |
