How can A financial subcommittee be successful in such volatile financial times as today? My ignorance of how my own board is run doesn't help me answer this question. Are most CFO's in charge of this subcommitte in both non-profit and for-profit hospitals? I think most people in management roles have the basic knowledge of what budgets should look like and how to expect a return on investment but how can financial decisions best be guided or be more informed by the board to best meet the multiple needs of the organization?

In previous years, the ACHE Bylaws was part of the suggested body of knowledge needed to know in preparation for the BOG Exam. Is this still the case? Seems not . . . as I see no mention of it, or reference to it anymore.
