I am COO of a regional physician management service organization based out of Denver, Colorado. Our focus is in providing business services to in-hospital based physician groups, primarily emergency medicine. As COO I have oversight of all of the day-to-day operations providing our services including accounting, human resources, credentialing, managed care contracting, risk management, compliance and consulting. I am interested in taking the fellowship exam because although our organization works closely with hospital senior leadership, I wanted to understand more about hospital management. I believe this is an excellent credential to demonstrate competency in this arena.
